Elizabeth Smart with husband Matthew Gilmour
Soon after becoming engaged, Elizabeth Smart tied the knot. 24-year-old Elizabeth married her boyfriend of one year, 22-year-old Matthew Gilmour in a private ceremony on Saturday afternoon in Hawaii.
The two met in Paris when both were doing Mormon mission work.
“To be in one of her favorite places with her family has made for a dream wedding. It’s been an absolutely beautiful day. She is positively radiant. And Matthew couldn’t be happier”, her representative told People.
The two will live in Salt Lake City after returning from their honeymoon.
Elizabeth has become famous back in 2002 after she was kidnapped from her home and her story has become a national event.
