Drunk and Armed Rip Torn Arrested!

According to TMZ.com, Rip Torn was arrested Friday night for braking into a bank through a window. The police report says Torn was drunk and armed with a loaded revolver.
The Police was contacted by one alarm at the Litchfield Bancorp building in Salisbury, Connecticut on Friday at 9:40 AM. Mark E. Macomber, President/CEO of Litchfield Bancorp in Connecticut said no one was in the building at the time Torn broke in. Macomber added that he doesn’t think 79 years old Torn wanted to hurt somebody or steal something. So being very drunk, Torn might have confounded the building with his own house. He was found lying on the floor. He was obviously trying to sleep.
Torn was taken to the Troop B barracks in North Canaan and charged with carrying a pistol without a permit, carrying a firearm while intoxicated, first-degree burglary, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief. He is being held on $100,000 bail.
Torn will appear in Court on February 1, Register Citizen reports.
