Dr. Dre
For some people money are like buttons or something. They don’t know how much they own and, most of all, they don’t care how much they owe. Dr. Dre, for example, is facing a $1.2 million lawsuit for allegedly failing to pay for studio time.
Paramount Recording Studios in California is suing the rap mogul for breach of contract.
According to the papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, July 23, it’s said that Dre – real name Andre Young – failed to pay for the use of a recording studio between April 2009 and June 2010. The papers add that Dre was supposed to pay the amount by July 13 this year, but he failed the agreement.
This year, Dr. Dre sued Death Row Records for re-releasing his iconic 1992 album “The Chronic” without his consent, but his claims were dismissed in June. The singer claimed he has not received any further money from album sales since he left the company in 1996.
