DJ AM

Right after DJ AM died on Friday, everybody asked themselves if it was a death cause by an overdose or a suicide. Now, according to TMZ.com, quoting sources involved in his death case, DJ AM died because of an accidental overdose and not a suicide.
In that matter, DJ AM was a recovering addict, who restarted using drugs after a nine years of pause and who developed a dependency to Xanax and other benzodiazepines (a group of drugs used to treat anxiety). It all started last year after his plane crashed and he amazingly survived. But it seems that faith which has saved him last year brought him to death this year. It is as if life gave him a test and he just could not deal with.
After the plane accident, Adam Goldstein developed an anxiety over flying so the doctors prescribed him Xanax and other anti-anxiety medications in order to relieve his fear. Unfortunately the Xanax reopened his addiction.
TMZ.com reports that DJ AM’s death cause was a combination of crack cocaine and benzos.
Blink 182 took a moment to honor DJ AM at their concert in Hartford, CT, on Saturday night.
