It’s time for pro competitor Derek Hough to quit the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ ballroom.
The 25-year-old three-time champ will no longer appear on DWTS’ 12th season when it premieres this spring. Hough decided to become an actor. He’s going to appear in the lead role in the upcoming dance movie ‘Cobu 3D’.
According to Deadline.com, he will also star in the Romeo and Juliet-esque film opposite South Korean pop star BoA.
“We wish Derek the best as he takes time off from ‘Dancing With the Stars’ to pursue his film career and look forward to having him return to the show in the Fall”, the show’s executive producer Conrad Green told UsMagazine.com.
