Dennis Hopper Files For Divorce!

Not even his major illness could keep Dennis Hopper away from getting divorce from his wife for 14 years, Victoria Duffy. She is the actor's fifth wife.

"I wish Victoria the best, but only want to spend these difficult days surrounded by my children and close and friends", 73 years old Hopper declared for BBC News. According to his representative, the actor who's battling prostate cancer only "wants peace and quiet."

So the Oscar-nominated star cited "irreconcilable differences" with 42 years old Duffy in the divorce papers filed to L.A. courts Thursday. The couple has a six-year old daughter, Gale together and the actor wants joint legal and physical custody of her.
Dennis Hopper was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September and recently began a new round of chemotherapy.
