David Arquette Files for Divorce After 13 Years

David Arquette divorces Courteney Cox

David Arquette has finally filed for divorce from Courteney Cox. Ironically, he filed the docs on Tuesday, June 12, their thirteenth wedding anniversary.

According to TMZ, the actor cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce. 40-year-old Arquette is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, 13-year-old Coco. Arquette is not requesting spousal or child support. Arquette is representing himself in the divorce, so he has no lawyer.

The couple first announced their separation in October 2010. Ever since they split, the two remained amicable. “Our relationship is probably better than it would be if we lived together. It’s definitely better than it used to be. We communicate better, we have much more respect for each other, we listen. It’s hard”, Cox told Howard Stern back in 2011.

While, Arquette had an on-and-off relationship with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ reporter Christina McLarty, 47-year-old Cox had no romantic relationships after splitting with the ‘Scream 4′ actor. “No guy’s asked me out. I’m not saying I’m not ready to have a make-out session, but it just makes me nervous. I don’t like to go out in general”, she also told Stern at the time.
