Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman have separated. What on Earth is happening with all these celebrity couple splitting up? Danny and Rhea tied the knot 30 years ago.

Now they are splitting, the couple’s rep Stan Rosenfield told “Entertainment Tonight.”

67-year-old Danny and 64-year-old Rhea met in 1970 after she went to see a friend in the Broadway play ‘The Shrinking Bride’. She fell in love with Danny who was also in the production. They tied the knot in early 1982. The couple has three children together.

So they met in 1970. That makes 42 years. Some people don’t live that long. Were they bored with each other. It comes a time when you just don’t want to live with the old version of your youth love? Why are divorces happening when you are old and not looking for someone new?

Back in the days, Rhea described Danny as “a lot more fun and a lot more sexy” than her previous suitors. Meanwhile, Danny said that Thea  was “vibrant, with a great sense of humor, and real warm”. All that is gone now.
