According to People, former teen star Corey Haim was found dead Wednesday morning in Los Angeles, at his mother's Burbank-area apartment. He was 38 years old.
"Mr. Haim was declared dead at 2:15 a.m. at Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center [in Burbank, California] He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead", Lt. Cheryl MacWillie of the Los Angeles County coroner's office declared.
It seems that the former 'Lost Boys' star, who had a long history of substance-abuse issue, died due to an accidental overdose.

According to the Associated Press, quoting police Sgt. William Mann, the actor suffered with flu-like symptoms before his death. "He could have succumbed to whatever [illness] he had, or it could have been drugs. Who knows? He has had a drug problem in the past", the police officer said.
An autopsy will be performed on Thursday.
Corey Haim was best known from movies like 'The Lost Boys', 'Lucas' and 'License to Drive'. He also collaborated with Corey Feldman, and the pair,  "The Two Coreys" starred in an A&E reality show with that name from 2007 to 2008.
