Chaz Bono Becomes A Man by Name Too!

Cher’s former daughter, is now legally a…man. Chaz Bono, who went through a gender transition, showed up to court today in Santa Monica. One judge granted Chaz’ petition for a gender and name change, TMZ.com reports.

Chaz’s former name was Chastity.
Chaz underwent an “irreversible surgery” on September 23, 2009 to change his “sex characteristics from female to male”. “Chaz Bono has completed his gender reassignment surgery”, his doctor said.
Bono came out as a lesbian in 1995, but began questioning his gender identity in 2001.
The 40-year-old is a writer, activist and reality-TV star.
