Hello, Mr. President! Charlie Sheen that is! The actor has just been cast as the president in director Robert Rodriguez’s upcoming sequel to his ‘Grindhouse’ action film, ‘Machete’.

“I just cast Charlie Sheen as the President of the United States! Who better? More soon”, Rodriguez wrote on Twitter on Thursday, June 21.

The news was confirmed by Sheen’s representative via The Hollywood Reporter. Next thing you know, Sheen will be playing Jesus Christ in another movie directed by Mel Gibson.

The movie also stars Danny Trejo as Machete. Jessica Alba, Mel Gibson, Amber Heard, Sofia Vergara and Zoe Saldana also appear in the movie.

The troubled actor’s father, Michael Sheen famously played the President in NBC’s ‘The West Wing’.
