Innocent, yet intelligent Carey Mulligan, best known for her role in 'An Education' (for which she received an Oscar Nomination for Best Actress this year), is set to play in another great movie.

Mulligan is going to be Eliza Doolittle in an upcoming remake of 'My Fair Lady'. It looks like originally the role was meant for British starlet Keira Knightley, but she passed on the role last month. "The actress has not been formally offered the part yet – and won't be until Columbia Pictures agrees the film's budget. Carey and the 'My Fair Lady' filmmakers will keep talking until a deal can be struck", Daily Mail wrote.
The role was made famous by Audrey Hepburn.
