During the Kings of Leon performance in Dallas, on Friday, frontman Caleb Followill said he needed to take a breather, throw up and drink a beer.
“For the record, I’m not drunk—I’m just f***ing hot”, he said to the crowd.
And the concert was cut short. In return, the band will come back in Dallas September 21 for an additional show which fans can attend with the original tickets.
“Caleb Followill suffered from heat exhaustion and dehydration, during last night’s Dallas performance causing his vocal chords to seize”, the band’s representative said in a statement.
Later that day, Caleb’s brother, the band’s bassist, Jared Foll0will took Twitter to apologise. “Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am. There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words. I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade”, he wrote.
The band also postponed the Saturday concert in Huston for September 22.
