According to The Los Angeles Times, both actors are spotted to play Marshall Matt Dillon in a motion picture remake of the classic TV western 'Gunsmoke'. Marshall Matt Dillon, a law keeper in Dodge City was originally made famous by James Arness.
The TV version of Gunsmoke' ran for 20 seasons before ending in 1975. The only series that surpassed 'Gunsmoke' as the longest running program in the history of American television is 'The Simpsons' which is now in its 21st season.
