On October 5, Beyonce was the Queen of 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards which took place at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany. The singer won three of the night’s biggest awards: Best Female, Best Song, (”Halo”) and Best Video, (”Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)”) after being nominated for four categories, including Best Live Act. While on stage, Beyonce thanked her husband, Jay-Z for “putting a ring on it.”

But here there are other winners of the night: Lady Gaga (Best New Act), Eminem (Best Male) and U2 (Best Live Act).

Beyonce, Jay-z, U2, Tokio Hotel, Leona Lewis, David Hasselhoff, Juliette Lewis, Shakira, the Jonas Brothers and Tokio Hotel are just part of the stars who participated at the show hosted by Katy Perry. 17,000 people have gathered at Berlin’s O2 Arena and Brandenburg Gate, while an estimated 2 billion people tuned in from home.
