Avril Lavigne engaged to Chad Kroeger

Avril Lavigne is engaged! No, not with Brody Jenner! The singer is engaged to marry Nickelback frontman, Chad Kroeger. We didn’t even know she was dating him. But surprise! They are supposed to get married!

The news was confirmed by 27-year-old’s representative to People on Tuesday, August 21.

The Nickelback singer popped the question to Avril with a 14-carat diamond ring on August 8.

In case they get married, this will be Chad’s first marriage. Avril was previously married to Sum 41′s Deryck Whilby, until 2009 when they split. The she dated Brody Jenner from 2009 until this year.
