
Ashton Kutcher TV highest paid actor, says Forbes
The best job as an actor is on ‘Two and a Half Men’. Ask Ashton Kutcher! The 34-year-old actor was named the TV’s highest paid actor on Forbes’s annual list. The actor pulled in an estimated $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012. That’s more than his predecessor Charlie Sheen did on the same show.
Ashton also appears in Nikon camera commercials, he is Silicon Valley saavy, having invested early in thriving online businesses like Skype, Spotify and Airbnb, which is now worth $1 billion.
Hugh Laurie, who ended his role as Dr. House after eight seasons, comes the second place with $18 million. After finishing the hit Fox medical drama, Laurie will focus on his music career.
Ray Romano ties Hugh Laurie with his role in his short-lived TNT show, ‘Men of a Certain Age’. But he also works on classic TV comedy, ‘Everybody Loves Raymondon’ and voices a character in animated big-screen series ‘Ice Age’.
Tim Allen scored $14 million in a year, from his new ABC sitcom ‘Last Man Standing’, re-playings of his classic sitcom and voicing Buzz Lightyear for family film series ‘Toy Story’.
Also on Forbes’ list are: Kutcher’s Men costar Jon Cryer with $13 million; ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey with $12 million;’The Big Bang Theory’ Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ Jason Segel, each with $8 million.
