Don't you think that if Arnold Schwarzenegger moved into Iraq, the war would be over sooner? But then again, all the other soldiers would be useless. That is why the California Governor only took a little visit in Iraq at a military camp outside Baghdad on Monday. The actor turned into politician signed autographs, delivered cigars and related his own experience as an Austrian tank driver. Not forgetting that he is in Iraq as a governor and not as an actor, he also gave a speech in order to motivate the troops. "I just wanted to let you know how much we in the United States appreciate the work you are doing. Now, I know you are thinking many times, 'Why am I here? What am I doing?' Maybe you're not making the kind of progress sometimes that you wish you would make here. But don't ever get discouraged", he said on Monday. This is the second time when Schwarzenegger goes to Iraq, the first time it was in 2003 just before he announced his run for governor.
The visit in Iraq makes part of Schwarzenegger's a four-day international trip through the Middle East and Europe. On Sunday the California Governor was in Israel for the Saban Forum to discuss global climate change.
After his visit in Iraq, Arnold Schwarzenegger will travel to his hometown of Graz, Austria. Then he will make a press conference in Milan, Italy on Wednesday.
