According to The Detroit free Press, the incident took place at a gas station in Detroit and he was the victim of a robbery.
Eddie was attacked by approximately three people (two men and one woman) while pumping gas at the intersection of Plymouth and Evergreen Road.
The police in Motor City is looking for a 19-year-old woman with short haircut and a man described as approximately six-feet tall with dreadlocks in connection with the crime. All three suspects are African-American.
Eddie Franklin underwent emergency surgery and his condition remains unknown.
