Amanda Bynes leaves hospital, checks in rehab
It’s rehab time for Amanda Bynes! The troubled actress left UCLA Medical Center and she was headed to Malibu rehab center The Canyon.
The news was confirmed by TMZ, though it’s unclear how long the actress will remain in treatment at The Canyon. One thing is for sure: the rehab lacks the “psychiatric facilities available at UCLA … and we’re told she’s still in a desperate state”.
Amanda spent three weeks in hospital after a psychiatric evaluation went bad.
This past July, the actress was involuntarily committed for a psychiatric evaluation after she was arrested for setting fire to the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, California. She was previously charged with a DUI in Los Angeles and engaged in a series of vehicular accidents.
The hospitalization has come as a salvation for the actress who had been proven bizarre behavior over the past year. Amanda was seen wigs in public, she threw a bong out of her 36th floor Manhattan apartment and she was rude to other celebrities via twitter. Following these incidents, Amanda’s parents sought conservatorship over their daughter.
