All-Star "Hope for Haiti Now" Telethon Raises $ 57 Million!

After the devastating earthquake in Haiti the stars have gathered and organised a telethon in order to raise money for the survivors in Haiti. The event took place on Friday on the major networks and dozens of other channels, including MTV, Bravo, and PBS.

The telethon included stars like Brad Pitt, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Rihanna, Bono and many others. It seems the "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon raised $57 million...so far. "The public has set a new standard of giving for a relief telethon with 'Hope for Haiti Now,' and the donations continue to come in", Lisa Paulsen, president and CEO of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, said in a statement released Saturday.
The earthquake that hit Haiti on 12 January killed an estimated 200,000 people.
