Alec Baldwin Interested in Running for Mayor of New York City!

Since congressman Anthony Weine may be out of the race of becoming New York City’s mayor, Alec Baldwin is a possible Democratic candidate for the 2013 race.

The actor said that 2012 is his last year on ’30 Rock’ and he announced that he may run for a political office. “Alec said, ‘Hey, maybe this changes the race. The dynamics have shifted’. The Democrats need a high-profile candidate, and Alec can fill that bill”, one of his friends told The Daily.
So far, the 53-year-old actor doesn’t want to be too loud about his decision. “It’s a long way till November of 2013″, he wrote on Twitter yesterday.

His reaction came after this January, Baldwin made public his intention of running for the office. “Yes, it’s something that I am very, very interested in. People would say to me all the time, ‘Why would you want to do that?’ And sometimes I don’t want to do it because to leave what I am doing now would be extremely painful”, he told CNN’s Eliot Spitzer back then.
